Who We Are
The Negotiation and Conciliation Institute (NCI) is an independent, non-governmental, non-partisan organization established in 2011. It seeks to promote conflict resolution in Uganda through the alternative dispute processes of negotiation and conciliation.
Legal Status
NCI is duly incorporated under the Companies Act, Cap. 110 as a Company limited by guarantee.
Vision
A vibrant culture of resolving disputes and improving lives through value-creating negotiations at all levels of Ugandan society.

Mission
To lead community-based alternative dispute resolution in Uganda through training and providing resources and services for negotiations and conciliation efforts.
Objectives
1. To educate Ugandans about the alternative dispute resolution processes available to them.
2. To promote use of alternative dispute resolution process in resolving conflict.
3. To provide alternative dispute resolution services including , conciliation, mediation, and negotiation.
4. To organize seminars and training workshops on selected alternative dispute resolution topics
5. To undertake research in the field of alternative dispute resolution and share results with other stakeholders.
6. To promote information literacy in support of information-based negotiations.
7. To promote solidarity and forge partnership with similarly interested institutions and organizations.
8. To build a sustainable alternative dispute resolution organization.
